H5 Data Centers Selects Eaton to Help Increase Efficiency and Maintain High Availability in Denver Colocation Facility
Customers at H5 Data Centers’ Denver colocation facility include some of the world’s largest online travel and ecommerce sites. This underscores the importance of delivering the highest standards in reliability and efficiency. Building on the company’s 15-year track record in providing 100 percent, continuous uptime for its customers, H5 Data Centers will utilize Eaton’s power management and distribution solutions as a part of its overall efficiency upgrades due to be complete by the end of the year, helping to increase protection and reliability for its growing customer base.
“H5 Data Centers is focused on delivering reliable data center services that optimize the IT operations of our customers,” said Josh Simms, chief executive officer, H5 Data Centers. “Eaton’s 9395 UPS is the perfect fit for our Denver upgrade project as it presents us with an opportunity to conduct maintenance while fully supporting critical load. As an infrastructure partner, Eaton provides best-of-breed products, a demonstrated ability to execute, and commitment to customer service that mirrors our own.”
Eaton’s 9395 UPS provides backup power and scalable runtimes to support H5 Data Centers’ expanding customer demands and safeguards important data processing. The 9395 UPS operates at up to 99 percent efficiency utilizing Eaton’s groundbreaking Energy Saver System (ESS), and has a built-in advanced LCD touchscreen to assist in real-time monitoring and management.
“As an expanding colocation facility with a diverse portfolio of customers, H5 Data Centers’ colocation facility needed a flexible solution that combines reliability and scalability to address growing demands,” said Philip Fischer, global data center segment manager, Eaton. “Eaton has worked closely with H5 Data Centers over the past year to grow accustomed to its infrastructure in an effort to increase efficiency and consistency for customers across its state-of-the-art colocation facility. We’ve formed a strong team in the process and look forward to building on this collaboration as H5 Data Centers continues to grow.”
To further enhance electrical reliability, efficiency and scalability, H5 Data Centers will implement Eaton’s Pow-R-Way III busway and Magnum DS® switchgear. Eaton’s busway efficiently distributes power in mission-critical facilities and is SMaRT© certified for sustainability. Additionally, the busway greatly reduces installation time compared to conduit and wire alternatives, and can later be added to or changed to reduce material costs and enhance power distribution flexibility. Eaton’s Magnum DS switchgear is designed to provide centralized control and protection of high-density power systems in a limited space, enabling H5 Data Centers to better utilize valuable data center floor space with revenue supporting equipment.
