OREANDA-NEWS. July 24, 2015. According to Decree No. 445/2015 On Ensuring Conditions for the Introduction of the Fourth-Generation Mobile Communication System, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine shall develop and approve the 2015-2017 Action Plan for the introduction of the fourth-generation mobile communication system in Ukraine in 2017 in cooperation with the National Commission for the State Regulation of Communications and Information and other state authorities as required.

Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Dmytro Shymkiv mentioned the The 3G license tender success that made it possible to raise 11 billion U.S. dollars for the budget. "It was one of the most transparent competitions, which was confirmed by the international experts. Most subscribers in Kyiv and many other cities already have the opportunity to use the service that is disabled due to the monopoly power of one of the companies in Ukraine’s market," Dmytro Shymkiv said.

Head of the National Commission for the State Regulation of Communications and Information Oleksandr Zhyvotivskyi says that the radio frequency resource is being audited. Based on the audit findings, the new technology roadmap will be developed in cooperation with the international experts. Eight mobile operators expressed their willingness to participate in the financing and preparations for the new technology introduction.
