Deutsche Telekom achieves top rankings in the M2M Scorecard 2015 by Analysys Mason
Ideally positioned
The experts at Analysys Mason confirm: a major factor in Deutsche Telekom's success is its close collaboration with T-Systems. "Deutsche Telekom’s T-Systems subsidiary also operates in almost every region worldwide. It acts as a systems integrator for implementing Deutsche Telekom’s M2M solutions and will be a driving force behind Deutsche Telekom’s worldwide expansion of M2M services", stated the ranking. The scorecard also recognizes Deutsche Telekom's optimal organizational position. The international M2M business unit, established in 2010, is not the only factor in Deutsche Telekom’s successful M2M business development. The Group also serves its customers' needs with its own international partner network.
Strong focus on the customer
Deutsche Telekom also offers a powerful technology platform for its customers, according to Analysys Mason. With its own Telekom M2M service portal as well as the Cloud of Things platform, the Group makes it easy for business customers to enter the connected economy and helps drive the growth of M2M overall. The scorecard also praised the company's customer-centric approach: with it, Deutsche Telekom aims to identify the benefits of M2M applications based on specific case studies and provide impetus for new business models and concepts. The study's authors are convinced: "Deutsche Telekom demonstrates its ‘enabling capabilities’ early in the customer lifecycle, by working with customers to build use cases on new business models. This ensures that customers are aware of the smart connected devices that are most suitable for their business objectives." Customer support also earned a positive mention: Deutsche Telekom solicits regular feedback with its specialized "TRI*M" software, and uses it in internal benchmarking and the ongoing optimization of its services, processes and offerings.
