Nestlé Skin Health Launches SHIELD Center in Shanghai
OREANDA-NEWS. Nestlé Skin Health,global leader focused on enhancing the quality of life by deliveringscience-based solutions for the health of the skin, today launched its new SkinHealth Investigation, Education and Longevity Development (SHIELD) Center inShanghai. The Shanghai SHIELD centerwill establish China as one of the anchors in Nestlé Skin Health’s globalinnovation network and is built to foster breakthroughs and collaboration inskin health through medical investigation, education and applications relatedto the convergence of technologies and bio-informatics. This global initiative is driven by thegrowing, changing and still underappreciated needs of an increasingly ageingpopulation and the need for a life course of healthy skin to enhance well-being.

In 2014 Nestlé Skin Healthannounced its plan to open a global network SHIELD centers around the world tomeet skin health challenges that result from our 21st centurylongevity. The first SHIELD center willopen in New York City in the fourth quarter of 2015 followed by the Shanghaicenter in the first quarter of 2016 with other location planned in the future.
