Nissan was called as the best selling Asian brand in Europe
OREANDA-NEWS. Nissan has announced a record level of car sales in the first six months of 2015, which allowed the company to become the best selling Asian brand in Europe. As the press service of the company informed, it was sold 384.7 thousand cars only for six months, which is more by 4.3% compared to the same period of the last year.
New car registrations also rose sharply in the first half of 2015 in the most important markets, including the UK (+ 34%), Spain (+ 18%) and Germany (+ 11%), where Nissan has surpassed its main competitors.
The success achieved through the creation of Nissan's modern and powerful model range. The high level of sales of model Nissan Qashqai, as well as electric Nissan LEAF has allowed the company to win the pan-European market share, equal to 4.2%. Senior Vice President of Nissan Europe Sales and Marketing, Guillaume Cartier, commented: "The achieved results show that we comply strictly with our obligations to enhance the quality, performance and saturation of vehicles with modern technology. This year we celebrate the fifth anniversary of model Nissan LEAF. We have already sold about 184 000 vehicles, which were appreciated by 93% of buyers. Nissan LEAF is the best-selling electric car in the European market ... ".
