In January-June 2015 it was registered 545 cars in the segment "Luxury" in the Russian car market. This is more by 266 cars (+ 95%) than in the first half of 2014, say the analysts of the agency "AUTOSTAT". That is, if you focus on the dry figures, the segment of luxury cars in Russia for six months has increased almost twice. This is against the backdrop of a 40 per cent overall fall of car market.

In fact, the growth is provided by the launch of a new model - Mercedes-Benz Maybach S-Class, which has replaced the departed into the history luxury brand Maybach. The new model in the segment of "Luxury" appeared only at the end of 2014 and the production of cars under the brand Maybach has been collapsed in 2013, and at the beginning of the last year they were not delivered to Russia.

Nevertheless, even without Mercedes-Benz Maybach, sales of luxury cars in the crisis are better than mass brands. So, for the first 6 months of 2015 the number of new Rolls Royce in our cities has increased by 40% (87 vs. 62 units a year earlier), and the number of Bentley declined, but only slightly, only by 15% (103 vs. 121 units). A similar decline (-16%) is among Maserati (46 units). Also in the first half of 2015 in the Russian roads it was appeared 12 new Lamborghini, 9 Ferrari and 3 Aston Martin.

According to the director of the agency "AUTOSTAT", Sergey Tselikov, almost 80% of the cars of luxury brands are sold in the Moscow region. Only 7% of the total volume is in St. Petersburg. And among the Russian regions only Stavropol and Krasnodar regions are noticeable, which in the first half of the year included 12 of these cars.
