Car markets in the US, Europe and Russia differ quite strongly. In North America the drivers prefer big cars - pickup trucks, SUVs, full-size sedans and station wagons. In European countries the priority is economical compact hatchbacks "B" and "C".

The Russian car market is more like a European, but it has "its accent", say the analysts of the agency "AUTOSTAT". We have among leaders a small sedan and hatchback "B" -class (LADA Granta, Hyundai Solaris, KIA Rio), but at the same time there are compact crossovers in the top-ten, among which Renault Duster is in the highest demand.

As we reported earlier, the most popular model among residents of Europe is the Volkswagen Golf. And the top-three also includes the compact hatchback Volkswagen Polo and Renault Clio. In America, the first three included only full-size pickups - Ford F-Series, Chevrolet Silverado and Dodge RAM.

The specialist of the agency "AUTOSTAT" noted that the common models in the top 10 in Russia, Europe and the US are extremely few. Volkswagen Polo is a popular in Europe and Russia, but in our market, this model is presented almost exclusively in the sedan, and in Europe -hatchback. We have only one common model with America, ranked in the top-10, it is Japanese Toyota Camry. The rest preferences of Russians, the inhabitants of Western Europe and the USA are different.
