OREANDA-NEWS. Total gas sales volume by Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd. for the month of June 2015 came to about 1,105.739 million m3, down 2.8% from June 2014.

In the residential sector, volume totaled 176.784 million m3, down 6.2% from June 2014, due to higher average temperature compared to that in the same period last year, leading to the decreased demand for water-heating.

In the business sector (consisting of commercial, public, and medical use), volume totaled 183.910 million m3, down 1.9% from June 2014, due to the lower operation rate of existing major customers' facilities. In the industrial sector, volume totaled 563.274 million m3, down 4.0% from June 2014, due to the decreased demand for power generation. Volume for wholesale supply to other gas companies totaled 181.771 million m3, up 3.6% from June 2014, due to the increased demand of the other companies.
