Eaton Showcasing Power Management, Electrical Modernization Solutions for Hydropower Utilities at HydroVision Booth #4057 from July 15 through 17

On Wednesday, July 15, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., Eaton’s Kevin Quirion, project engineer and manager, will discuss a new profitability model for hydro generation. The session, titled, “A Business Case to Capitalize on Continuous Minimum Flow Requirements,” will be co-presented by Bob Gates, executive vice president of operations at Eagle Creek Renewable Energy and will explore the success of a recent continuous minimum flow project at the Rio Dam on the Mongaup River in Lumberland, New York.
On Thursday, July 16, from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m., Eaton’s Larry Yonce, product line manager, will explain how a digital educational program can help operations and maintenance personnel optimize equipment performance and extend the useful life of generation assets to enhance the performance of aging power systems.
The presentation, titled, “Advanced Condition-Based Maintenance in Hydro Generation Power Plants: Powerful Visual Training Helps Optimize Performance of Aging Equipment,” is part of the conference’s poster gallery track – which features highly specialized topics suited for in-depth discussion. Yonce will be available during the session to explain the presentation in detail, and an educational poster will remain up the entire day for viewing.
