OREANDA-NEWS. There are 86 stocks listed on the Singapore Exchange (SGX) that are categorised to the Information Technology (IT) sector, under the Global Industry Classification Standard (GICS®). They have a combined market capitalisation of S\\$2.2 billion.
The IT sector, as defined by GICS®, is made up of companies that offer software and information technology services, as well as manufacturers and distributors of technology hardware and equipment. The sector can be broken into various industry groups, including software and services, technology hardware and equipment, as well as semiconductors and semiconductor equipment.
The 20 best-performing IT stocks trade at an average price-earnings ratio of 16.0, and maintain an average indicative dividend yield of 3.9%. The company was founded in 1989 and is headquartered in Singapore. It has been listed on the Main Board of SGX since 1999.
IPS Securex
IPS Securex designs, supplies, installs, tests, commissions, maintains, and leases security products and integrated security solutions. It also operates in Vietnam, Brunei, Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia. IPS Securex was formed in 1986 and is based in Singapore.
Digiland International
Digiland International is involved with the promotion, marketing, sale, and distribution of electronic and information technology products in Singapore and Thailand. The company operates in information technology, trading of marine gas and oil, and other segments. Digiland was formed in 1994 and is based in Singapore. As of 14 July 2015, the company is known as New Silkroutes Group.
