OREANDA-NEWS. July 16, 2015. Excellence centres in vocational education will be created in Moldova. The cabinet took a decision to this effect today.

The document stipulates the creation of excellence centres in priority sectors of the national economy, by reorganising vocational institutions. 

Thus, five excellence centres in such areas as: constructions, transport, services and food processing, computer science and information technology, light industry, will be first created. 

This decision fits into the range of measures meant to implement the Action Plan on implementation of Strategy on Vocational Education Development, pursuant to which 10 such excellence centres are to be set up till 2016. 

The action will contribute to rationalise the pecuniary resources by redistributing them in line with vocational training programmes directed to performances and not on supporting infrastructures, which cannot meet minimal requirements to train qualified labour force. 

The mentioned centres are specialised institutions in various areas of the national economy and have as tasks to develop capacities of the vocational education field, in order to adjust it to the market requirements and to implement teaching and technological innovations.
