Ecology Month at CROC
OREANDA-NEWS. CROC is completing Ecology Month with a new Greenpeace 'Live a Bright Life-Dispose Se-pa-ra-te-ly!' campaign. During this month, CROC has installed waste bins for the disposal of exhausted lithium batteries, sponsored a fully-electric car race, and started to collect signatures for separate waste collection.
CROC has been supporting Greenpeace campaigns since 2011, is a regular Earth Hour participant, and employs energy saving technologies and specially-designed paper waste collection bins in its office.
In 2015, CROC made businesses and the public more aware of environmental problems and the importance of preserving natural resources.
The collection of used batteries for further recycling was the first activity to be performed under CROC's Ecology Month campaign. This initiative was possible thanks to CROC's cooperation with Megapolisresource, Russia's first plant capable of recycling consumer batteries. As of today, CROC's employees have already collected more than 50 kilograms of batteries.
Another activity initiated by CROC's management was to support the 2015 FIA Formula E Moscow ePrix, the first ever electric car race in international motorsports history. In addition to environmental protection, this race attracted attention due to the efficient teamwork similarity of CROC's high-tech, fast and smooth IT services and a pit stop service during a race.
CROC will complete Ecology Month by participating in Greenpeace's new 'Live a Bright Life-Dispose Se-pa-ra-te-ly!' campaign by encouraging its employees and visitors to sign a petition addressed to the Moscow City Mayor for installing separate waste collection bins throughout the city. All collected signatures will be submitted to Greenpeace.
CROC is taking part in this campaign to support waste recycling enterprises and to promote 'green' philosophy in business and technology.
A separate waste collection system is used to sort waste by type for further recycling. Recycled plastic is used for making plastic containers, tupperware, and sliding boards while recycled glass is used to make glass wool, plates, and even shower cubicles. "Our company has already won an award for the promotion of eco-awareness among employees at the All-Russian Best Green Office Contest organized by Greenpeace and plans to continue making improvements in this area.
Today, we not only try to follow 'green business' principles ourselves and offer our customers energy-efficient solutions and energy saving technologies, but also promote environmental ideas," said Vyacheslav Tantsorov, Director for Marketing Promotion, CROC.
