OREANDA-NEWS. July 16, 2015. Changan Ford recently hosted the Ford Kuga Home Return event alongside its third Ford Kuga Go Further eXperience (GFX) event at its Chongqing manufacturing facilities. A total of 12 reporters from 12 different media outlets, along with 20 Kuga customers from Chongqing and surrounding cities were invited to this 2-day event. The group was taken on a tour of the facilities in Chongqing and had the opportunity to go on a test drive on the proving grounds there.

The event was split up into three sessions: visit to the Changan Ford Chongqing Engine Plant, General Assembly Workshop in the Changan Ford Chongqing Plant II and a test drive of the Kuga at the Chongqing West Proving Ground.

Through the facility visits, media and consumers were given an in-depth explanation of manufacturing techniques, observe Changan Ford’s stringent standards of quality control throughout every process and were able to speak with on-site engineers about certain topics that concerned them. At the proving grounds, media and customers were able to get a firsthand experience of the Kuga driving on sloped surfaces, gravely paths and muddy roads.
