OREANDA-NEWS. July 14, 2015."We are convinced that we will succeed in the process of debt restructuring. This is extremely important. We ask our creditors to cooperate. This is the way how to support the people and to make Ukraine a real success story," stressed Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk during the first investment conference Ukraine – USA in Washington.

"We are convinced that we will succeed in the process of debt restructuring. This is extremely important. We ask our creditors to be cooperative and collaborative. This is the way to support the Ukrainian people. And this is the way to make Ukraine a really successful key story," the Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk said during the first U.S.-Ukraine Business Forum in Washington.

"We ask our creditors to accept the offers made by the Government of Ukraine, and to find a compromise," he said.

Arseniy Yatsenyuk recalled that the Government of Ukraine together with the IMF, the World Bank and other international contributors "are trying to improve Ukraine's economy and to stabilize the fiscal sector".

"I want to very clearly say – we are united with the President of Ukraine to deliver what we promised the people of Ukraine. We are united to pass all sometimes painful, difficult, but necessary bills in Parliament. We are united to make Ukraine a better and stronger," the Head of Government stressed.

Arseniy Yatsenyuk also stressed that he expected that this week the Ukrainian Parliament to pass a number of laws that are necessary to support economic reforms in Ukraine.

He stopped on the agenda regarding the overcoming corruption in Ukraine: "We must frankly admit that it is difficult to eradicate corruption, because it has very deep roots, but we are committed to tackle corruption in Ukraine as well as at the highest level, and in households".

"In this way we have some progress. The Parliament passed the laws that created the Anti-Corruption Bureau, which makes Prosecutor General`s Office more independent. The Parliament leaved immunity of several MPs and even the judges," he said.

However, the Head of Government stressed, "It will take enormous efforts of both public and private sector, of both Government and business - to eradicate corruption in all spheres, including tax and other red tape agencies that are still exist in Ukraine."

Arseniy Yatsenyuk also stressed that members of the Cabinet of Ministers "are doing everything possible to eliminate a number of regulatory functions that are more reminiscent of the Soviet legacy rather than the modern style of economic management".

"We try to apply all modern standards of USA and EU in order to make Ukraine more attractive and just more understandable for business. To make all rules similar that had been applied in free economies, in the free world," the PM stressed.

Arseniy Yatsenyuk also expressed gratitude to the members of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine: "I thank you my colleagues, the members of the Government, for what they are doing to Ukraine. You do a great job".

The Prime Minister recalled the words from the speech of the U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker that if this is the first forum, it will be the second: "So may we have the second forum, we have real results. Let us cooperate in business and to make our country prosperous and successful."
