OREANDA-NEWS. 8 July was the ninth day of the expedition to Elbrus, which started in two LADA 4x4 Wild Edition from Togliatti on 29 June. According to the expedition leader Sergey Rodin’s report on his VKontakte page, by the end of the day, rising in harsh conditions (rain and hail, hail blurred and broken road, 40-45 °slope, visibility in the fog up to 10 m) members of the expedition managed to rise in their vehicles up to 3,000 and 3,400 meter height.

At the end of the day another message from Elbrus was posted in the social network - one of the cars was able to rise even higher - to 3,658 meter height. Most probably the mountaineers will continue their rising on foot.  But it will be tomorrow.

We should remind that the preparation of off-road vehicles did not include changes in the factory technical units and aggregates. Engine, transmission and suspension of both SUVs are standard.
