Nissan pickups withdraw from the Russian market
OREANDA-NEWS. Nissan stopped supplies of the Nissan Navara and the NP300 pickups to Russia due to low demand for these models.
"It is unprofitable business case because of the exchange rate, production of vehicles not in Russia, and small volume of delivery" - Nissan press service explained this decision to AvtoSreda.
According to Association of European Businesses, 996 Nissan NP300 pickups and 544 Nissan Navara vehicles were sold in Russia in 2014. Today, both models can still be found in dealer centers. The Navara pickup with 2.5-liter diesel engine producing 190 hp is available at a price of 1,433,000 roubles, and the NP300 with 131 hp diesel engine of 2014 production year costs from 1,053,000 roubles.
Last summer, the new generation Nissan Navara was unveiled, but the decision on supply of this model to Russia is still pending.
