OREANDA-NEWS. July 10, 2015. Time Inc. today announced that it has signed a long-term lease at Industry City in Brooklyn, New York. More than 300 employees in the company’s Technology, Content Solutions and Editorial Innovation departments will move to a 55,000 square-foot facility in the Sunset Park complex at the end of the year.

Time Inc.'s move to Industry City coincides with the relocation of its headquarters to 225 Liberty Street in Lower Manhattan from the Time & Life Building at 1271 Avenue of the Americas at 50th Street, where it has operated since 1959.

Employees who are working on theDRIVE, a new editorial product devoted to cars and the car culture, will occupy a 5,000 square-foot ground floor showroom. They will join members of Time Inc.'s Editorial Innovation, Technology and Content Solutions teams at Industry City. These departments will occupy two floors that each span 25,000 square feet.

Industry City is a 16-building, 6 million square-foot complex that is home to more than 400 companies that employ 4,000 people.

Time Inc. will join a diverse group of tenants that include The Brooklyn Nets, Design Within Reach, MakerBot and more.
