OREANDA-NEWS. Today Ford Sollers plant in Vsevolozhsk is launching CKD production of the new Focus. According to information given to AUTOSTAT agency at Ford Sollers press service, the new Focus will offer even greater range of modern driver assistance systems. The lineup of engines will be renewed. The customers will be able to buy a car with EcoBoost 1.5-liter engine. Engineering team has also adapted the model to Russian operating conditions.

Ford Sollers plant in Vsevolozhsk was founded in 2002 and became the first CKD enterprise, open by a foreign automobile company in Russia. Today production capacity of the plant is over 160,000 vehicles per year, the enterprise employs about 1,500 people. The company manufactures the Ford Focus and the Ford Mondeo sedan with CKD method.
