OREANDA-NEWS. Today Nissan plant in St. Petersburg assembled the  200,000th vehicle since June 2009 when the enterprise was launched. The new generation Nissan X-Trail silver SUV became the anniversary vehicle. We should remind that the Nissan X-Trail was put on the production line in Autumn 2014 and in December 2014 production of the new generation Nissan X-Trail was started. 7,100 of 200,000 Nissan vehicles were the new X-Trail, Nissan press service reports. 

"We are proud that being the youngest automobile plant in Europe - we are only 6 years old – we have assembled the 200,000thvehicle today and remain the fastest growing plant in Russia. - General Director of Nissan plant in St. Petersburg Dmitry Mikhailov said. - To overcome this milestone we brought 240 million parts, about 90,000 tons of metal panels, 4,000 tons of paints to the enterprise and spent about 9 million working hours. It is important to note that awarding of our plant for the best quality vehicles in 2012 and 2014, indicates the highest international standards of Nissan production”.
