OREANDA-NEWS. July 08, 2015. The National Business Group on Health (NBGH) has again recognized Willis North America, a unit of Willis Group Holdings (NYSE:WSH), the global risk advisor, re/insurance and human capital and benefits firm, as one of the nation's leading companies providing comprehensive programs that enable a healthy workplace and promote healthy lifestyles for employees and their families.

This year Willis North America received a Gold Award for its comprehensive wellness program, making this the third consecutive year the firm has been recognized by NBGH.

The NBGH's Best Employers for Healthy Lifestyle Award recognizes employers that have truly embraced a culture of wellness and are working collaboratively to improve their employees' health, productivity and quality of life. Willis North America was among 64 U.S. employers that received the 2015 Best Employers for Healthy Lifestyles® award at the Leadership Summit sponsored by the National Business Group on Health’s Institute on Innovation in Workforce Well-being.

“Willis is proud to offer a workplace that supports healthy living and a positive work environment through our unique wellness program,” said

Todd Jones, CEO, Willis North America. “Our employees are our greatest asset and Willis is committed to improving the health of our employee population. This is the same level of commitment and expertise we bring to clients in helping them create Total Reward strategies for their own firms.”

The Willis benefits program is a comprehensive health and wellness program designed to touch every facet of an employee’s life, giving them the tools and resources needed to find the balance between work and life. Willis understands that the foundation of all work and life balance is a member's physical and mental well-being, and that no two members are alike. The programs have been designed based on a best-in-class approach with seamless integration between the company’s partners to deliver a personalized plan of action with the available resources, no matter where the individual may fall in the care continuum.

Brian Marcotte, President and CEO of the National Business Group on Health, commented, “We congratulate Willis North America for being among an elite group of companies that are making a difference every day in improving the health and overall well-being of their employees and families. Willis North America and its leadership team are to be commended for their commitment to promoting healthy work environments and for their innovation in developing outstanding programs for employees that encourage good health and well-being.”

Winners of the “Best Employers for Healthy Lifestyles” awards were honored in one of two categories: Platinum, for exemplary workplace well-being programs, cultures and results; or Gold, for creating cultural and environmental changes that support employees in their lifestyle and behavior changes.
