Gulf International Services announced repair and maintenance on Accommodation Jack-up "Rumailah"
OREANDA-NEWS. Gulf International Services (“GIS” or “the group”; QE: GISS), the largest services group in Qatar, with interests in a broad cross-section of industries, ranging from insurance, re-insurance, fund management, onshore and offshore drilling, accommodation barge, helicopter transportation, and catering services.
GIS announced today that the Accommodation Jack-up "Rumailah" owned by its subsidiary “Gulf Drilling International” is subject to repair and maintenance after the punch through incident on 5th of July 2015 in Al Shaheen field which is being operated by Maersk Oil Qatar.
The Barge will be taken to Nakilat shipyard for repair and maintenance, which is expected to take a few months approximately.
GDI advised that there were no personal injuries and that all personnel had been safely evacuated from the vessel.
