The new Presidium composition was elected at the annual meeting of the Retail Companies Association
OREANDA-NEWS. On June 2 in Moscow as a part of the Russian Retail Week has passed the annual general meeting of the Retail Companies Association, which was attended by the heads of the largest retail chains in the country and top managers of ACORT company members.
ACORT Executive Director Andrey Karpov made a report on the main results of the Presidium and the Executive Directorate of the Association work in 2014. Participants discussed the priorities for 2015, in particular the industry regulatory issues and the opportunities of retail trade self-regulation.
At the meeting was also decided to expand the Presidium from 10 to 11 members and elected its new composition, which included Sergey Galitskiy, Magnit, Stephan Ducharme, X5 Retail Group, Ilya Yakubson, DIXY, Boris Minialai, METRO Cash & Carry Russia , Jean-Pierre Germain, Auchan, Jan Dunning, Lenta, Heigo Kera, O’Key, Alexander Tynkovan, M.Video, Nikolay Fartushnyak, Sportmaster, Vugar Isaev, Snow Queen, and also proposed by Chairman of the ACORT Presidium Ilya Yakubson – Ilya Lomakin-Rumyantsev. Elected the new composition of the ACORT Audit Committee.
At the ACORT Presidium meeting held immediately after the general meeting was made the decision, according to which for several months during the transitional period, Ilya Lomakin-Rumyantsev will be co-Chairman of the Presidium, and then Ilya Yakubson leaves his post.
"The Association is now at such a high development level and solves so ambitious tasks that to combine leadership in it with Executive officer position of the company is becoming increasingly difficult. I am grateful to the colleagues who supported the idea of renewal and have decided to hire an independent professional," – commented the decision Ilya Yakubson.
Ilya Yakubson headed ACORT since 2011. The Association members highly praised the work of the Chairman at the annual meeting, noting his contribution to the development of self-regulation, competitive business environment and business ethics.
