OREANDA-NEWS. IDGC of Centre held a solemn ceremony to open the season of construction crews of the electric grid complex. For one and a half months more than 150 students of higher and secondary specialized educational institutions of the Central Federal District will work at power facilities of the company, applying their theoretical knowledge in practice.

By last year’s tradition, before the start of the work the students passed an introductory course on occupational safety and as a result of the final exam received the second group of electrical safety. As before, each student will have an assigned mentor who will supervise the observance of work rules, safety standards and provide methodological and practical guidance.

Organization of the work of construction crews is carried out in the framework of cooperation of IDGC of Centre with leading technical universities of the country. According to power engineers, working at the company’s facilities will significantly increase the level of training of graduates of technical higher educational institutions, help them in practice obtain a clearer picture of their future profession and as a result will help meet the needs of IDGC of Centre for highly qualified specialists.

"The power engineering occupation today joined the prestigious and important category. Participation in the students’ construction crews provides young people with a real chance to plunge into the future profession in practice, to work at electric grid facilities of the country and lift the veil of a serious and still mysterious for them profession," stressed Deputy General Director for HR Management and Organizational Design Inna Gromova.

The best students will be entered into the outside youth personnel reserve of IDGC of Centre and will receive priority in the event of subsequent employment.
