OREANDA-NEWS. Tele2, an alternative mobile operator, started providing mobile services under its brand in Volgograd, Irkutsk, Penza, Saratov and Ulyanovsk regions, Republic of Buryatia and Maritime Territory.

These regions were earlier operated by Rostelecom mobile companies that joined Tele2 as a part of the deal on formation of a new federal operator.

The Tele2 brand launch in Rostelecom’s mobile assets is the most large-scale project on the Russian telecommunications market: it involves 23 regions of the country. All subdivisions of the company are taking part in it. The operator is entirely reconsidering its business processes, creating a new product portfolio, refurbishing single-brand stores and switching subscribers to the Tele2 service.

The Tele2 arrival to new regions is announced in a massive advertising campaign. It is promoting key principles and the main features of the company’s brand – low prices, simplicity and honesty in contacts with subscribers.

One of the main instruments for attracting new subscribers during the brand’s launch is the certification program. Around 500 thou residents from 5 regions voted for the policy of low prices, honesty and high-quality connections. They own certificates that allow free top-ups of their mobile accounts when having connected to Tele2.

In the regions with the Tele2 brand launched, subscribers may use simple and profitable tariffs without hidden conditions.
