OREANDA-NEWS. According to Auto-Dealer-Yekaterinburg agency, 16,982 new passenger cars and light commercial vehicles were sold in Yekaterinburg in January-May 2015, which is 48% less than during the first five months of 2014. In May, the market decreased by 48% - dealers sold 3,331  new vehicles. Worse result was only in January.

Hyundai remains the market leader in 2015. At the same time Lada has been on the first place for two months in succession. However, the domestic brands reduced sales by more than 50% during 5 months.

French brands continue their unpleasant surprises. In May, Peugeot reduced its sales by 97% and was left behind even by Chinese Lifan. Another unlucky player  - Citroen – had 93% sales decline  in May.

Yekaterinburg share in the total vehicle sales in Russia remained 2.6% in January-May.
