EP this week: Greece, TTIP, corporate tax, aviation safety
OREANDA-NEWS. The situation in Greece will be discussed at an extraordinary meeting of the Conference of Presidents, made up of the EP President and the political group leaders, at 14.15 CET today. In addition MEPs vote on how to deal with the amendments that have led to the postponement of the TTIP negotiations and discuss European Commission plans on corporate taxes. Parliamentary committees will also discuss lessons to be learnt from the Germanwings tragedy in March and how to tackle hate speech.
Parliament's olitical leaders meet on Monday at 14.15 CET to discuss with Commission president Jean-Claude Juncker the breakdown in negotiations over Greece’s debt. EP President Martin Schulz will speak to the press after the meeting at about 15.30 CET.
