ChelPipe Group Presented the White Well Project at the Caspian Oil and Gas Exhibition
OREANDA-NEWS. At the 22nd International Exhibition Caspian Oil and Gas that was held in Baku on June 1-5, ChelPipe Group presented the White Well project that is unique to the Russian Fuel & Energy Complex in terms of integrated service and development of oilfield infrastructure.
The White Well project is being jointly implemented by ChelPipe Group's pipe and oilfield service divisions. It provides custom-tailored solutions for oil production companies.
The White Well Project includes selection, manufacturing and supply of downhole pumping and pipe equipment with regard to the conditions and specific design of wells. It also offers equipment maintenance throughout the entire operation time, and training of personnel. This integrated approach to oilfield services allows petroleum companies to cut spending on difficult wells maintenance, establish simultaneous increase in time between failures (TBF), and to reduce round-trip operations, repairs and respective costs. The project cuts downtime to average 20 days per well. The approximate economic effect amounts to 3 million RUB over three years per well.
The Caspian Oil and Gas Exhibition hosted a conference where Vladimir Kolesnikov, ChelPipe-Engineering General Director made a report. He presented the capacities of ChelPipe oilfield service and pipe divisions in integrated services ranging from product design to aftermarket support.
Among the innovations Vladimir Kolesnikov highlighted ChelPipe's proprietary system for selection of corrosion-resistant material for oil tubular goods, 2nd and 3rd-generation Premium threaded connectors, and large-bore casing pipes 508-762 mm with weldable quick unions for shelf drilling.
"ChelPipe design concepts sparked interest in many companies including the management of Socar, Azerbaijan state oil company, which was willing to visit the production facilities of Chelyabinsk and Pervouralsk Pipe Plants", says Vladimir Kolesnikov.
Every year the Caspian Oil and Gas Exhibition and Congress invites top managers to discuss key Caspian oil and gas projects. This year the exhibition hosted 315 companies from 27 countries.
