OREANDA-NEWS. The current level of new vehicle sales (110,000-130,000 units per month) may remain the same until the end of the year. Market decline has stopped, but there are no essential factors for its growth. This opinion was expressed by AUTOSTAT director Sergey Tselikov in his column. According to him, about 1.5 million new passenger cars and about 90,000 LCV will be sold in the Russian market till the end of 2015.  So, the sales will decline by about 36% compared to 2014.

According to Mr. Tselikov, the current sales level complies with the current state of the Russian economy. Support measures taken by the Russian government, automakers and dealers only help to retain current positions of the market, but cannot bring it into the phase of the rapid growth, as the economy is still in crisis, and the purchasing power of the population declined.

Today the best selling brands are those which raised price for their models less than others. The average increase in prices is 15%-30% compared to the previous year. The Russian automotive market "has groped for bottom, but is not going to come to the surface yet," the head of AUTOSTAT said.
