Izhora Pipe Mill complies with ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007
OREANDA-NEWS. The Izhora Pipe Mill, part of the Russian Steel division of PAO Severstal, one of the world’s leading steel and steel-related mining companies, has successfully completed the recertification audit of its corporate environmental management system and safety system, for compliance with ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 requirements.
The assessment was conducted by Russian Register, an independent certification body for management system, product and personnel certification.
The Izhora Pipe Mill’s documentation, main production areas and personnel training were reviewed as part of the audit.
The audit results were highly complementary of the Izhora Pipe Mill’s corporate management systems, which were judged to be in full compliance with ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007. The auditors also noted the Izhora Pipe Mill’s successful and well-run health and safety practices.
Dmitrii Pokrovskii, CEO of the Izhora Pipe Mill, commented: “Our previous
certification audit took place in summer 2012. Over the last three years, not
only have we consistently achieved our goals in health, safety and
environmental responsibility, but our progress has been recognised by
[considerably/notably] improved results in the 2015 audit. We remain committed
to constantly enhancing our standards even further.”
