OREANDA-NEWS. 17,000 light commercial vehicles on estate car base (LAV segment) were sold in the Russian market in January-May 2015. Their market share amounted to 2.8% during the period under review - compared with popular SUV or B-segments it is not so great, and continues to decrease. In May, the decline in LAV segment was 54.4%, more than twice, while the total vehicle market reduced by 38%.

But it would have been even greater without the LADA Largus. Actually only the increased demand for AVTOVAZ product saved the entire LAV segment from deeper decline  in May.

This May, over 3,500 LADA Largus were sold in the Russian market, that is about 23.5% more than in April. According to AUTOSTAT experts, the small increase in sales compared to April was registered by the Citroen Berlingo, but due to the low base (36 Berlingo were sold in May, and 24 vehicles were bought in April) it did not affect sales dynamics of LAV segment much. The rest of LAV models had negative dynamics in May.
