OREANDA-NEWS. AVTOVAZ plans to start serial production of the updated Lada 4х4 SUV in 2016. The company did not disclose the details, but there is information that the vehicle will be "better in consumer qualities", Za Rulyom.RF reports.

"During the year, the company will introduce the updated Lada 4х4, complying with modern requirements: much better in consumer qualities - more comfortable, lighter, warmer, " - director of the Lada 4х4 project Natalia Vorobieva said at a meeting with the Lada 4х4 owners.

As reported earlier, AVTOVAZ started work on the new generation Lada SUV development. Since April 1977,  AVTOVAZ has assembled more than 2 million Lada 4х4 (previous model name was NIVA).
