Arseniy Yatsenyuk hopes Parliament to adopt laws necessary for international financial assistance asap
"I hope that within this week the parliamentary coalition will submit these bills for second reading, as by July 10 we are to come to the meeting of the IMF Board to get the next tranche," he said.
Arseniy Yatsenyuk underlined that "the payment of wages, pensions and social benefits for the population of Ukraine hinges on receiving this tranche."
"So we need to pass these bills in second reading and in general. I hope that the parliamentary coalition feels its responsibility to the country," he stressed.
Before voting for bill №2956 amending the Law of Ukraine "On the moratorium on the forced sale of the property" (as to the mechanisms of influence on the debtor companies), the Prime Minister stated that this bill would bring order to the calculations in the energy market.
"According to this bill, private owners who collect money from people for utility services will have no opportunity to put this money into their pockets and do not pay NJSC Naftogaz Ukrainy for purchased natural gas," he stressed.
Arseniy Yatsenyuk informed that there were extra consultations with MPs on this bill and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine agreed to an amendment that this bill would not apply to property that was not subject to privatization under present law.
"So we remove the main issue, which was raised in the parliamentary hall, on the so-called shadow privatization. It will not exist. However, we are raising the key issue - those oligarchs-owners of heating supply companies who collect money from people and do not pay for purchased natural gas from Naftogaz Ukrainy, but put the money in their pockets, will be deprived of ownership to their heating supply companies," the Prime Minister said.
