OREANDA-NEWS. The sales of the Land Rover Freelander crossover in Russia are finished. Production of the model was stopped in 2014, but the popular SUV could still be bought through the dealers. 

The SUV was quite popular in Russia and its sales even increased last year. As per the results of 2014, the crossover became the most popular Land Rover model available in Russia with 5,385 vehicles sold.

In Russia, the Land Rover Freelander was equipped with a 2.0-liter 240 hp turbocharged  petrol engine and 2.2-liter turbocharged unit generating 150 hp or 190 hp. The model will be replaced by the Land Rover Discovery Sport, which went on sale in Russia in March. Its price starts from 2,497,000 roubles.
