OREANDA-NEWS. June 23, 2015. MSA Plant, part of Rimera Group, has shipped ball valves for the world's largest oil company, Saudi Aramco. The valves will be used in the construction of a pipeline system of Wasit Gas Plant, Saudi Aramco's largest gas processing plant.

According to the order, MSA will supply ?900-1200 mm Class 600 ball valves during the first quarter of this year. All valves will come with Limitorque electric actuators. The ball valves will be used in the construction of Saudi Aramco's Wasit Gas Plant, the largest gas plant with a processing capacity of more than 70 million cubic meters of natural gas per day. The contract is worth €900,000.

These valves are normally operated in the horizontal position but since the client planned to install the valves vertically, MSA was requested to conduct additional tests in these unusual operating conditions. Specialized equipment to fix the valves in the required position, test them out and simulate future operating conditions was installed at the plant.

"The Middle East is of the key sales markets for us. Last year, we made around 4.8 million euros from valve sales to this region. Our most valued client here is Saudi Aramco, the world's largest oil production company and the company with the biggest oil reserves. We have had successful partnership with Saudi Aramco for a decade already, and this recent order is another proof of that", says MSA Executive Director Jan Halfar.
