OREANDA-NEWS. Ford has delivered a new Mondeo Hybrid to the city of Turin for the use of the mayor, Piero Fassino. The low emissions vehicle will be put to work attending official functions.

Claudio Lubatti, Councillor for Transport, Infrastructure and Roads of the City of Turin said: “The availability of Ford in granting the loan of this technologically advanced and environmentally friendly city car is a sign of how the automotive world is acknowledging and supporting new mobility policies put in place by the administration. I am very satisfied.”

Marco Al? Saffi, External Relations Director of Ford Italy, told @Ford: “The interest in hybrid-electric technology stresses the importance of reasoning electrification by all stakeholders, including institutions. The Mondeo Hybrid shows the maturity of alternative technologies that reduce emissions in congested European cities.”

The new Ford Mondeo Hybrid is a hybrid-electric vehicle powered by a 2.0-litre Atkinson petrol engine and two electric motors which together generate 187 PS with low CO2 emissions of just 99 g/km.
