Nissan Leaf electric vehicle transferred to St. Petersburg Energy Efficiency Centre for test operation
OREANDA-NEWS. Nissan company transferred the Nissan Leaf plug-in to Energy Efficiency Centre for test operation under the Program of electric transport development in St. Petersburg. After the test operation, the specialists of the centre, responsible for the most important aspect of electric transport development in St. Petersburg, should detect the key problems of electric vehicle operation in the northern capital and find solutions to these problems, Nissan press service informs.
There are no many owners of electric vehicles in St. Petersburg today, however, the city pays serious attention to development of charging infrastructure, under the program of electric transport development. The map of the places, where the first in St. Petersburg electric vehicle charging stations will soon be constructed, has already been developed.
The Nissan Leaf is the world best selling electric car. Over 172,000 Leaf plug-ins have already been sold since 2010, when their production was started. 25% of this model sales come from the European market.
