OREANDA-NEWS. June 22, 2015. A working meeting between Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev and CEO of OJSC “RPC “URALVAGONZAVOD” Oleg Sienko took place in Moscow Oblast. During the meeting the most essential components of the corporation’s activities were discussed.

Mr. Medvedev started off with congratulating the corporation with a successful demonstration of the newest pieces of military technology at the parade in Red Square which took place on the 9th of May 2015. The guests of the Victory Day Parade, including veterans and foreigners, were deeply impressed by the modern armored vehicles, such as the new generation tank T-14 “Armata”.

The Chairman of the Government noted:

– I consider it to be a success of both Uralvagonzavod and the entire military-industrial complex of the Russian Federation. Thank the personnel from me. The real products are made by the staff and the labor of a large quantity of people, from the designers to those who are working at the very end of an assembly line.

OJSC “RPC “URALVAGONZAVOD” is an undoubted leader of wagon building not only in Russia and the CIS but in the whole world by the volume of output. When the economic crisis began, the market plummeted and a need occurred to seek for new ways and markets to sell the produce. Now these markets are found and the export contracts have been signed.

While addressing the Prime Minister, Oleg Sienko paid attention to the following:

– Of course, it would be very good if the Government supported us via the state guarantees and the decisions were taken by VEB on the support of the export of our produce, because all the complete sets and the products are in the Russian Federation.

When Dmitry Medvedev heard out the CEO of the corporation, he declared that he will commission the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Government of the Russian Federation to consider the possibility of providing the state guarantees to OJSC “RPC “URALVAGONZAVOD”:

– I will commission the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the members of the Government to examine providing the state guarantees to your company in the amount which was announced as needed to fulfill the current contractual commitments, including, first of all, the agreements dealing with the civilian production, the production of wagons.

The performance of the guarantees, the control over which was taken by the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, is bound to affect the staff of the UVZ corporation and the operations of the machine-building giant.

Mr. Medvedev emphasized:

– Due to the reasons well known, when there is no demand, the situation at the manufacturing facility becomes dire. And even under such difficult circumstances you remain stable, I want to point it out, it is important, and I hope it will continue.

Speaking of the decisions by VEB – Dmitry Medvedev said – on the contribution to the authorized capital and a number of other decisions, they will also be considered without fail.
