P&G Names Newest #ThankYouMom Campaign Ambassadors
OREANDA-NEWS. June 19, 2015. Hot on the heels of besting her own Canada heptathlon record at the season’s first major heptathlon competition and being named an ambassador to the P&G Thank You Mom campaign, Canadians now have an opportunity to learn a little more about rising track & field star Brianne Theisen-Eaton and her mom Kim.
A new mini-documentary provides a glimpse into the life of the Canadian Olympian and her mom – from competing on a gravel track in Humboldt, Saskatchewan, to stepping onto the podium at the World Championships. Between training and competing, Kim taught Brianne life’s fundamentals including cooking, cleaning and buying products that she could count on to perform every day so that she could focus on her own performance.
“Mom taught me life lessons that allowed me to live independently at a young age and to focus on my training and competitions,” says Theisen-Eaton. “This included teaching me about the products that she relied on – like Tide, Febreze, Pantene and Gillette – to consistently get the job done. P&G’s Thank You Mom campaign, and specifically this video, gives me a chance to thank my mom for being my biggest supporter and the world’s best life coach.”
P&G created the Thank You Mom program in 2012 as part of a global Olympic platform. While the campaign focuses on elite athletes and their moms, its intention is to recognize all moms who support their kids every day, many of whom rely on P&G products at home so they can focus on their kids.
“At P&G, we know that becoming an elite athlete begins at childhood and a supportive team is required to get to the top of your sport,” said Joyce Law, Senior Communications Manager at P&G Canada. “This video gives Canadians a chance to get to know Brianne and Kim a little better and to understand why they are such great ambassadors for our Thank You Mom campaign.”
