OREANDA-NEWS. Transaero Airlines launched its first scheduled flight on St Petersburg-Shanghai route.

The flights UN635/636 are operated from Pulkovo airport twice a week according to the following schedule (local time):
• Departure from St Petersburg on Thursdays and Sundays at 14.30, arriving in Shanghai at 04.40 on the following day;
• Departure from Shanghai on Mondays and Fridays at 06:40, arriving in St Petersburg at 12:00.

Transaero deploys Boeing 767 aircraft with business and economy class cabins on this route.

St. Petersburg and Shanghai are the sister-cities. The economic, trade and tourism links are being actively developed between them. This is the reason for such a high interest for the first flight, especially among the Chinese passengers. The passenger load factor on the flight from Shanghai reached nearly 100%.

The new flight has expanded the geography of Transaero's flights operated from the city of its origin - St Petersburg. The airline and management company of the airport Pulkovo - "Northern Capital Gateway" have been developing a strategic partnership since 2011.
