OREANDA-NEWS. According to AUTOSTAT data, used passenger car  market came up to 366,800 vehicles in May 2015. That is 29.5% less than in May 2014. As per the results of the first five months of the current year the situation looks a little better, the market volume amounted to 1.83 million vehicles (-24.1%).

When compared to April of the current year, the market reduced by 11% in May - from 412,000 to 366,800 vehicles. 

According to the analysts, monthly dynamics of used vehicle market in 2015 was only negative compared to last year.  Thus, 331,500 used vehicles were sold in January 2015, that is 9.3% less than in January 2014. In February 333,500 vehicles were resold, 22.5% less than a year ago, in March – 386,500 vehicles, - 24.3%; in April – 412,000 vehicles, - 29.8%.

"May repeats the last year’s situation,  - Azat Timerhanov, a leading analyst of AUTOSTAT agency, says. - The situation with used vehicle sales in Russia, most probably, will not change dramatically in the months to come as the market is affected by negative factors caused by the current situation in the economy".
