OREANDA-NEWS. June 18, 2015. Aon Hewitt, the global talent, retirement and health solutions business of Aon plc (NYSE: AON), in collaboration with the Chain Restaurant Total Rewards Association (CRTRA), a leading restaurant industry association, today announced they will deliver the industry’s first compensation and benefits data for polished casual brands as part of their annual survey to be released later this month.

Aon and CRTRA’s annual compensation and benefits survey provides competitive market data on both pay levels and program design for more than 140 restaurant brands and includes benchmark data for 165 positions ranging from executive to hourly. While CRTRA has issued the survey to members since 1975, this is first year the survey will also feature polished casual data, which combines upscale casual dining and fine dining. The survey also includes data on quick service, quick casual, family dining, casual dining and fine dining segments.

“The addition of the polished casual data will provide CRTRA members with valuable insight related to compensation and benefits for a segment in which there is currently limited-to-no market data reference points,” said Chris Kelley, product manager, Executive Compensation Analytics, Aon Hewitt. “This data will enable polished casual brands to understand unique compensation arrangements, assess the engagement of their employees and drive their compensation strategies.”

Since 2012, Aon has provided CRTRA members with consistent and reliable compensation data, as well as widespread analyses of their compensation and benefits programs benchmarked against their peers. Aon’s executive, broad-based, and nonexempt data and surveys provide companies with compensation intelligence for more than 42 industries, including the restaurant industry, via a unified global platform.

“CRTRA is committed to remaining at the forefront of industry trends and providing our members with best-in-class solutions that address their growing needs,” said Liz Mayo, Chain Restaurant Total Rewards Association board member. “The new data, coupled with Aon’s deep compensation knowledge and consulting expertise, will help our polished casual CRTRA members better understand their position in the industry and help them attract top talent in a labor market that is becoming increasingly competitive.”
