Datsun sold over 25,000 vehicles in Russia
OREANDA-NEWS. Datsun Company has sold over 25,000 vehicles in Russia since its launch in the market in September 2014. At the end of May sales of the Datsun on-DO and the Datsun mi-DO totaled 26,600 cars, and December, when 5,100 vehicles were sold, became a record month for the brand, AUTOSTAT analysts said.
We should remind, the Datsun on-DO sedan, which is now available for 376,000 roubles, was the first on sale. The vehicle is equipped with 1.6-liter 82 hp or 87 hp 8V petrol engine and 5-speed manual transmission. As per the results of the first five months of 2015 the Datsun on-DO is on the seventh place among sedans in the Russian market with 11,900 vehicles sold. According to AUTOSTAT analysts, the Datsun on-DO got ahead of the Nissan Almera and the Lada Priora in the sales rating.
The second Datsun model in the Russian market, the Datsun mi-DO hatchback, went on sale in early March and by the end of May dealers have sold 3,200 vehicles of this model. The hatchback costs 432,000 roubles, and, in contrast to the on-DO sedan, can be equipped with Jatco automatic transmission. The Datsun mi-DO is available with the same1.6-liter 8-valve engine, producing 87 hp.
