OREANDA-NEWS. June 17, 2015. As a result of the All-Russian environmental clean-up event (subbotnik) "Green Spring - 2015" the Company was awarded in the nomination "For special contribution to the improvement of ecology and environmental education", while the corporate project of TATNEFT - a series of animated films "Adventures of Neftyasha and her friends" won in the international contest "Ecological Culture. Peace and Harmony".

The awarding ceremony took place in Moscow at the State Kremlin Palace in frame of the first All-Russian Children's Environmental Festival and   celebration of World Environment Day and  Environmentalist Day.

The event was attended by over 5 thousand people.  Rinat Gizatulin, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Kashin, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Natural Resources, Environment and Ecology, Alexander Bedritsky, Advisor to President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Grachev, President of the Non-Governmental Environmental Fund named after V.I. Vernadsky and other honorable guests welcomed the assembly.

The ecological clean-up events at the initiative of the V.I. Vernadsky Fund have been held since 2014 and are designed to improve the environmental situation in the cities and towns, to raise the level of environmental awareness among citizens and provide for foundations of ecological education of the younger generation.

More than two million Russians in 80 regions of the country had participated in the environmental activities held from April 20 to May this year.
The stage of the State Kremlin Palace also witnessed rewarding of the winners and runners-up of the international contest "Ecological Culture. Peace and Harmony". More than 220 applications had been submitted to the contest's Organizing Committee in 2015, of which the jury had admitted 181 to participate in seven nominations. The professional expertise of the presented projects had been carried out by the specially formed international jury.
The TATNEFT Company's Project "Adventures of Neftyasha and her friends" has been implemented since 2010. The main objective of the project is education of environmental responsibility in the younger generation, extension of kindness and patriotism from an early age. Cartoons are broadcast in the "Tatneft Time " TV program. Production of the animated films by request of JSC TATNEFT is performed by "Tatarmultfilm" Association, which is actively involved in development of the national   animated cinematography.

Recognition of the JSC TATNEFT's projects at the prestigious Environmental Forum has been another confirmation of the Company's large-scale programs effectiveness contributing to the solution of actual environmental problems of the Company and the region.
