OREANDA-NEWS. National Rating Agency has assigned a reliability rating of 'AAA' to Capital Reinsurance CJSC (Capital Re).

The rating reflects Capital Re's very supportive owner, very strong solvency position (actual solvency margin was 4.7x the regulatory minimum as of Apr. 1, 2015), very strong liquidity position and experience in handling large losses.

The reinsurer's reliability is affected by the negative premium trend in 1Q 2015, negative underwriting result for 2014, and the combined ratio of greater than 100% in 2013-14.
