OREANDA-NEWS. According to the Association of European Businesses, sales of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles in Russia decreased by 37.6% to 125,801 vehicles in May. During the first five months of 2015 the Russian automotive market reduced by 37.7% to 641,933 vehicles.

AVTOVAZ remains the leader in the Russian market with 22,857 vehicles sold last month, which is 33% less than a year ago. Hyundai returned to the second place and became the leader in the foreign car market, having sold 13,613 vehicles (-13%). So, KIA moved down to third place with 12,355 vehicles sold (-27%). Then comes Renault with 9,446 vehicles (-42%). Nissan is on the fifth place with 7,854 vehicles (-38%). TOP-10 in May also included Toyota (7,562 vehicles, -43%), Volkswagen (5,550 vehicles, -48%), Mitsubishi (4,002 vehicles, -20%), GAZ (3,940 vehicles, -25%) and UAZ (3,853 vehicles, +8%).
