OREANDA-NEWS. June 15, 2015. Glassdoor, the world's most transparent jobs and recruiting marketplace, has announced the winners of its annual Employees' Choice Awards for the Highest Rated CEOs for 2015. Unlike any other workplace awards, the Employees' Choice Awards are based solely on the input of employees who anonymously and voluntarily provide feedback via the Glassdoor company review survey. The survey, open year-round to all employees, encourages feedback on whether they approve or disapprove of how their CEO is leading the company, along with insight into their job, work environment and company.

This year, Glassdoor has expanded its Highest Rated CEOs awards program to include five categories, honoring CEOs across the U.S., Canada, UK and Germany.

·      The top five Highest Rated CEOs in 2015, according to UK employees, are: Google's Larry Page (No. 1, 99 percent approval), American Express' Ken Chenault (No. 2, 98 percent approval), Three's David Dyson (No. 3, 97 percent approval), HomeServe UK's Martin Bennett (No. 4, 97 percent approval) and easyJet's Carolyn McCall (No. 5, 96 percent approval).

"Gaining the trust and approval of an entire workforce is one of the most difficult yet rewarding responsibilities for any leader," said Robert Hohman, Glassdoor CEO and co-founder. "Winning a Glassdoor Employees' Choice Award is a significant achievement for any CEO regardless of fame, fortune or company size."

On Glassdoor's 2015 list of the 25 Highest Rated CEOs, the top CEOs represent diverse industries throughout the UK, spanning tech, finance, professional services and telecommunications. CEOs represent large multi-national companies as well as home-grown success stories. Whatever the company size or industry sector, all 25 CEOs have one thing in common -- high levels of approval and buy-in from employees in the UK.

Employees' Choice Award winners are determined using Glassdoor's proprietary algorithm, and each CEO approval rating takes into account the quantity and consistency of Glassdoor-approved company reviews shared by UK-based employees between 22 April, 2014 and 21 April, 2015. At a minimum, CEOs considered for the UK list must have received at least 20 reviews during the eligibility period. For reporting simplicity, CEO approval ratings are rounded to the nearest whole number, though calculations extend beyond the thousandth to determine rank.
