Innovative tax solutions earn “Baltic Tax Firm of the Year” award for the fifth time
“We are thankful to our clients who trust us with their challenging tax issues and allow us to demonstrate our passion for finding the best possible and innovative solutions,” commented J?nis Tauka?s, head of the SORAINEN Tax & Customs Team. “Without them we would not have received this award from International Tax Review five times over the six years that the Baltic States have been evaluated. This recognition inspires us to grow our expertise in the areas required by our clients most: tax due diligence, transfer pricing documentation, international tax planning and resolving tax disputes.”
The following transactions advised by SORAINEN are especially highlighted as the most innovative and complex:
SORAINEN and other shortlisted finalists were independently evaluated by International Tax Review editorial staff, consulting practitioners and tax executives from companies around Europe. The award was judged according to size (which indicates what a tax team is capable of taking on), innovation (which proves that the firm addresses tax issues that cannot be fixed with straightforward solutions) and complexity (which highlights the firm’s ability to address tax issues that are out of the ordinary).
International Tax Review, part of the Euromoney Legal Media Group, is the most trusted publication and online resource for corporate tax directors, policymakers and practitioners. The ITR awards focus on quality of work over a twelve-month period. They ignore the size and breadth of law firms, but preferably analyse the quality of clients, the work done and the reputation of their tax practices. To decide the shortlists and winners, ITR’s team of journalists undertake detailed research from a variety of sources.
