OREANDA-NEWS. Argun enterprise Chechenavto will start assembly of the Lada Granta in October 2015, About 1,000 vehicles of this model are  planned to be produced till the end of the year. This was told by General Director of Chechenavto  Said-Huseyn Taymaskhanov.

"This year, we plan to produce about 900 Granta cars. I think that the first lot will go on sale in October. In August, our employees will be trained in Togliatti. We are also negotiating with AVTOVAZ about the supply of equipment, "- Mr. Taymaskhanov is quoted by the Chechen government press service.

Moreover, in Spring 2016, Chechenavto plans to begin production of a new model – the LadaVesta. "We plan to start serial production of these vehicles at the end of the first or the beginning of the second quarter of next year", - Mr. Taymaskhanov said.

We should remind, that Chechenavto started operation in May 2008 with the assembly of the Lada 2107. By the end of 2011 about 1,600 vehicles of this model were manufactured at the enterprise. In January 2012 the Argun plant launched a line for the Lada Priora assembly - this model replaced the Lada 2107. Planned production capacity of the enterprise is 50,000 vehicles per year.
