OREANDA-NEWS. Sberbank Investment Research, the research division of Sberbank CIB and one of the most experienced analytical teams in Russia and the CIS, has once again recorded leading positions among analysts in Russia and developing markets in the prestigious Extel Survey.

Sberbank Investment Research's Chief Strategist Kingsmill Bond held onto his top position among Russian equity strategy analysts, taking first place in the ranking. Evgeny Gavrilenkov, Chief Economist and Managing Director at Sberbank CIB, took first place in the category "Economics & Macro". Sberbank Investment Research's sector teams won three categories: "Economics & Macro", "Equity Strategy" and "Fixed Income", and the Sberbank Investment Research team took second place in the nomination for "Best Brokerage House in Russia and CIS". Strategist Andrey Kuznetsov secured the second position in his category, "Equity Strategy", moving up from 11th place last year. Analysts Alexey Bulgakov, Dmitry Poliakov and Alex Fak were among the top three in the categories "Fixed Income" and "Oil & Gas", respectively.

Evgeny Gavrilenkov and Alexander Kudrin have been included in every year of the ranking's 12 year history and Evgeny Gavrilenkov has secured the top spot eight years running, which is the longest period for any analyst taking part.
