ETP to grow northeast NGL footprint

OREANDA-NEWS. June 10, 2015. Energy Transfer Partners (ETP) has entered into a long-term gas gathering, processing and fractionation agreement with EdgeMarc Energy in Western Pennsylvania.

ETP has purchased about twenty miles of high-pressure pipeline from EdgeMarc and will build a new cryogenic gas processing plant, a new fractionator and additional gas gathering pipelines in the Marcellus and upper Devonian production areas of western Pennsylvania, to build out its so-called Revolution Project.

EPT said it plans to construct about 100 mile of rich gas pipeline to provide a total gathering system capacity in excess of 440mn cf/d.

The Revolution pipeline originates in Butler county, Pennsylvania, and will extend to ETP's Revolution plant, a cryogenic gas processing plant to be constructed in western Pennsylvania. The plant is expected to be in service by the second quarter of 2017 and will leave room for future processing and additional third party gas, according to ETP.

The residue gas from the plant will be delivered to ETP's Rover interstate pipeline for deliveries to downstream markets.

NGLs will be delivered to the Sunoco Logistics Mariner East pipeline system.

A fractionation facility will be constructed at Sunoco's Marcus Hook complex in Marcus Hook, Pennsylvania, with an expected in-service date in the second quarter of 2017.
